The Last 10,000…
I am down to my last 10,000 in student loans. The good news is that the “end” is in sight. The bad news is that it is still 10,000. For some reason, this loan, the last loan, has been the hardest to pay extra on. I don’t know why that is with many things, but the last one is seems to be the hardest to deal with. Maybe it is because I am tired of making the extra payments and just want it to end or maybe I just want to buy other things
.
Whatever the case, I’ve buckled down. I’m making the extra payments. I’ve run some numbers and done some projections. If I can stick to the payment schedule and factoring a conservative estimate for a tax refund, I project I can have the loans paid off by April 2010.
In the grand scheme of things, April 2010 isn’t that far away….and I will be no longer be in “survival” mode, but finally able to work on goals I want to achieve like travel without any worry of financial burdens or moving to a different city or internationally without worrying about finding a high paying job that I need because I have loan payments to make.
So here’s to the last 10,000!
